Thanks to the folks from Gamer's Hell for letting us know that TDK/Cauldron have released a playable <a href="http://www.gamershell.com/news_BConanBDemo.shtml" target="_blank">demo</a> of their action-adventure/RPG 'Conan'. The file weighs in at roughly 130MB and can also be found at <a href="http://www.3dgamers.com/games/conan/" target="_blank">3D Gamers</a>, <a href="http://avault.com/pcrl/demo_temp.asp?game=conan" target="_blank">Avault</a>, <a href="http://files.filefront.com/1750622" target="_blank">FileFront</a> and <a href="http://games.tiscali.cz/clanek/demo2.asp?id=6800" target="_blank">Tiscali</a> (thanks to <a href="http://www.bluesnews.com/" target="_blank">Blue's</a> for the mirrors).
<br>update: The demo is also mirrored at <a href="http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=15452&mode=thread&order=0" target="_blank">Worthplaying</a> |

after playing the demo, i think RPGdot should remove it from his game list... unless RPGdot is going hacknslashdot.com.
- console interface, no keys remap, pad recommended
- dumb hack'n slash action..smashing buttons behavior
- ok graphics, suit perfectly my geforce3...well or should i say, perfectly optimised for x-box ?
- arcade level design : totally linear, invisible walls when you'r trying to go where you shouldn't...
this game has nothing to do with an adventure or RPG game, it's just an x-box hack'n slash like ther's already tons of them.
Tolkien, Conan.. my god, all these excellent universe for some goods RPG, and all they can do is dumb hack'n slash... |

I concur! They could have made some excellent stuff with the Tolkien license, but unfortunately....... <ammon murmers off into the distance> |
