Level drained at Great Graveyard

Help! I enetered the tomb at Great Graveyard, found a mummy and killed it. There's a sarcophagus and if I try to open it, a trap activates, "level drained" message appears, I lose some HP, etc... I tried to heal it, cure it, rest but it didn't work. What shall I do? Is there another way to open sarcophagus?

Easiest solution would be to activate the Stone of recall, and be restored at the temple.

Level drain is nasty. It can only be cured by restoration spells. You can't 'sleep' it off.

The easiest solution IS to use the stone of recall and get healed at the temple, definately if you're not playing a cleric (and who plays a cleric often in NWN?). Also look into getting scrolls and potions of lesser (or greater) restoration. Those will keep you happy and your levels where they should be when you're away from the temple.

You can also posess your familiar if you have one, and set it off that way, possibly killing your familiar. Let it be the fall guy. Whenever I hit something thats trapped that "success is not possible" for de-arming and no spells are handy I do that. Or, just stone o' recall back to the temple and get cured that way

My favorite 'opening' spell was magic missile...

Chain lightning opens every chest in the room at once Fireball has much chest bashing goodness potential too, of course.

Since you can rest just about anywhere at any time (or stone of recall and rest if you really need it) I was very wasteful with my magic.

Or, if you are not a mgicka-user, bash the trapped container with a missileweapon of your choice. If it says you can´t damage it with your flimsy crossbow, get some firebolts.
