arrgh, i'm stuck on two silly bits.
Firstly i can't find the stairs to let me onto the plateau of the imps castle (for the 2nd warrior quest).
I'm also stuck trying to get the elven guy to join the council, i fought jospehina and found 2 of the ancient artifacts but i can't find the third (i heard this is a game bug, but when i try and approach the elven geezer with only 2 of the artifacts he tells me to get lost).
Any help appreciated

It is just steps made out of the stone and thus is hard to see (like the steps to get to the Warrior's Guild). However, it is VERY near the red flag that the game puts there to mark the spot. Look hard very near the flag on your map.

Did you sell the staff you got off her, that was one of the artifacts.

No, she managed to escape before i could kill her and she didn't drop anything. The staff sounds like the artifact i'm missing though, any bright ideas on how to find it?
Ta for the info on the steps, i suppose that will teach me to play into the wee small hours.

The first time I killed Josephine she dropped the staff inside the wall. I had to re-load and kill her again  |

Er... so you sold the staff?  That's bad... check all the merchants you use.
