I was wondering who you guys thought was the best James Bond. Conan the Librarian, you inspired me to post the topic; you should feel special. _________________ Always with you what can not be done. Hear you nothing that I say? - Master Yoda

Sean Connery is not a bad choice. He did not star in Octopussy, though. That was Roger Moore. _________________ Always with you what can not be done. Hear you nothing that I say? - Master Yoda

A vote for George Lazenby. That's charity if ever I've seen it. Is that a joke Piln or is that honestly your opinion?
P.S. Can someone tell me what these two emoticons mean? and _________________ Always with you what can not be done. Hear you nothing that I say? - Master Yoda

I vote for Roger Moore, although after recently sitting down and watching almost every Bond back-to-back I think Timothy Dalton comes in a close second. Sean Connery was good, but he just didn't have the upper-class hero aura that Roger Moore gave out. Pierce Brosnan makes a good action star, but let's face it - the films he's been in have beared only a slight resemblance to the James Bond we know and love.
George Lazenby, however, sucked. _________________ Charlie Dobbie

It's Connery for me, though Moore did have his moments.
Best Bond movie overall is From Russia With Love _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

Perhaps a little tongue-in-cheek ...although I did like what I saw of OHMSS (never seen it from the start, but I've seen the last half several times). Regardless of ability, I feel whoever had been first to follow Connery would have a tough time being accepted - a sympathy vote, then.
I'm not a huge Bond fan anyway. I think Brosnan looks the part better than all the rest, but that's as far as it goes - not necessarily his fault, as I feel all the "new" Bond films have been pretty poor - great to look at, but flat and characterlesszzzzzzzzzzz........ |

So... who do you think should be the next Bond? There are many 'Next-Bond-Rumors' around nowadays. _________________ Jaz |
