First, your in the wrong forum. This forum is for technical issues. From now on when you have in-game inquiries, try posting in the Gothic 2 - Spoilers forum.
You can find ore in several places. There is ore on the ground in some caves. Try looking inside the mines from the old valley. There is also at least one piece somewhere between the harbor and the docks with the giant ship.

There is one on the table at the top of xardas' tower. You'll have to deal with a few black robes, but that's not a biggie. Another is laying on the dock next to the paladin ship(turn right after going thru the tunnel/arch whatever.) 3 are in the cave with the minecrawlers near the circle of sun, or the cave at Dexter's camp. I can't remember  I found 5 in the new world, but surely there are more.
If you have already given 3 to bennet to learn forging ore weapons, then just buy them back from him.

if you are in chapter 5 you can buy some from khaled and from bennet there are also some in the 2 mines near dexters camp
in the valley of mines at the castle near tandor a guard is standing in front of a door he has the key to the storage room inside there are some chests behind a door in there you will find another chest with magic ore

The storage room at the castle is where the blacksmith was in Gothic. It's a shame they turned it into a storage room, that blacksmith was really cool.
