Custom Modules

Has anyone played any good custom modules? I finishe NWN single player and am starting in on home grown modules. Playing one called "The trouble with Goblins" it's pretty fun so far. Needed to bump my character to level three and give him 3000 gold to make it a single player module. Fighting goblins and goblin elites right now as a wizard! My first wizard, very cool. Let me know what and if your playing anything good!

There are a lot of modules out there. I've tested several for my NWN group.
The Penultima campaign is quite good. If you enjoy a lot of humor, then you should try that one. (Parody/Humor) They just released the fourth part of their campaign. Click here for their website.
A Tragedy in Tragidor has a great story. The only drawbacks are some bugs and the slow load times. Save between loading areas.
Crystal Tower was alright. I liked that you had a non-violent path for solving the quest. Plenty of opportunity for roleplaying. Our paladin decided to not lie when we snuck in and he killed a guard. Then our barbarian joined the fight. So my rogue and our bard basically had them wait in a room so they wouldn't have everyone attacking them. Silly paladins and their high placed morals.
Anyway...
Spires of Ravenloft is based on a real PnP module and I thought it played well. Although, I think you'd want to bring a higher level char then the one suggested.
Scourge of Vallenwood was pretty good.
The Delve was excellent. I started it with a brand new char (cleric) and played all the way through. It was balanced well and had a nice plot twist.
The Sunless Citadel is good for a level 1 char. The story didn't interest me much though.
The Black Isle Mystery was much the same. There was a strange bug with that one too. One of my players couldn't return from the island.
Trouble in Flarvendale is in the same catagory.
Dekes Dungeon Crawl is good for an irreverent leveling romp.
There's more, but this post is getting long.

The EVIL guard. The guard was evil. And I only killed him in self-defense (and because, sadly, unlike BG there's no subdual damage... or I would have knocked him out!).

Let it go, tinman. I should have guessed that you all-brawn-guys would leave the halfling to finish the job all by himself (with a little help from the rogue )

I mean come on, I was a barbarian.

I have only played with one module (not including Ekims ) it was the ShadeRavens Keep on The Borderlands. Not bad for solo. I went in with a L3 fighter and NO special equipment. Challenging at times, but fun (although waiting around for the shops to open can be a drag!!).

I think it might be a blast MP, but it would require a somewhat disciplined party, as there are some NASTY encounters just off the road (like opening up a door and being jumped by 3 or 4 were wolves .... so much for my theif henchperson .... she was dog chow before I could hit the run away option!

To be fair though, mine aren't even playable solo, or even in MP unless you have a DM present. I don't script, I can't! I tried, I really did! I just can't bring myself to understand how it all works So I do the scripting by being the DM

Check over at NWvault. They have a lot of reviews. Actually, I just signed up as a reviewer and I'll post any results here.

The problem with the vault is the sheer number of modules ... and reviews by people I don't know.

Good module

Tragedy in Tragidor is a great module! so far. Much more fun than the included campaign! I'm starting to really like this game but the view still leaves something to be desired. Wonder if Bioware could make a patch to drop the angle of the camera more?

I heard that the camera angle tool wasn't compatible with the latest patch though. So be careful.

The new tool has an install/uninstall utility to allow you to update the main NWN executable.

Oh boy!

Can't wait to try it! Now why didn't Bioware include this in the game.. Next question, is there any way to modify your character easily? Not in the mood to hex edit.. How about dropping an item into a module that your playing? Like some boots of haste..
