TES: Merchant Question

Someone please help me... I can't for the life of me figure out how to make one mage into a merchant, i.e., have a "barter" choice come up in the conversation menu. For training, all you have to do is set the class to "drillmaster" and they automatically offer training in their three highest skills, but I can't figure out how to activate bartering. I've set the NPC class to "mage services", but that didn't help.

Any suggestions?

And one more question. I believe that once I have them set as a merchant, they will offer to barter any item that has been set as being owned by them, whether it is on their person or not, is that correct?

Thanks

-Z

Never mind

Well, spending the weekend holed up with the editor and no Internet connection certainly answered a few questions. Apologies for what I now realize was a silly post.
