I just downloaded the construction set for Oblivion...but when I try to open it, I get the error: d3dx9_27.dll was not found!!! what gives? has anyone had that problem???

There are different versions of DirectX 9.0C out there. Well, or 'modded' versions. Some games require special DLLs that are usually included with the game so you should try to (re)install the version of DirectX 9.0C that comes with the Oblivion DVD. It's been like that with a few recent games so I hope that helps . |

Simply type the "filename.dll" into Google... ( with quotes )
There are a number of sites that cater to free downloads of publiclly available DLLs...
