Gothic 1 would have been an awesome game, but the controls, and the lack of configuring them drove me crazy til I gave up.

Configurable interface, remap keys/mouse buttons like Quake and Unreal have been doing for YEARS now.
Interacting with other characters requires a MOUSE, not just the keyboard. |

| I understand needing a free hand for the keyboard, you need that in most games as multiple weapons are keyed to the number keys, function keys etc. |
