Well, in Chapter II you get a Holy Light rune that even a mercenary
can use, so I guess that yes, two torches last for the whole game. |

You can extinguish a torch if you have other torches in your inventory.
Just click on the unlit torches, and the torch in your hand goes off and
gets added to the stack. |
