Look in your Gothic.ini for this line:

playLogoVideos=1


and change it to:

playLogoVideos=0


No more logo startup movies...

Look for this line in your Gothic.ini:

zVidRefreshRate=0


Change it to your refresh rate that you need if you need to change it.
Changing it to something your video card cannot do, WILL give y ...

Not sure if everyone knows this or not...

Look in your Gothic.ini and look for the line:

bloodDetail=0

and change it to

bloodDetail=2
