Swampwitch was not totally useless.
It maybe so that had there been no swampwitch, we wouldn't have had "herbwitch" in gothic 2. |

| Just about everyone has Kngs sorrel in their inventory in chapther 5. Its the Dragonroot plants that are few and far between. |

I think it is pretty sad that it is 1000 X easier to find a working NO-CD crack for gothic than to to find an official patch!  |

I had some time to test it with my "gothic1" computer.
1.7 Ghz celeron
256 SDR100
Geforce 4 ti 4200.
And it plays fine. Only the city is rather.... choppy.

If it is as easy to con an Orc to "hand over" his weapon by luring some creature to kill it as it was in Gothic 2, then it would take about 10 minutes to get your first ... |
