I have read in a few places to use this in the .ini file, but no one has explained what it does. Before I add or subtract anything from an .ini file I like to know what I am doing.

I could do that, but then I'd have to run a 3rd party mapper in the background, but I don't want to do that. Thanks anyway, it's a good suggestion though.
I thought Gothic2 was supposed to support ... |

| Of course my gamepad works. Do you mean the Game Controllers applet in the Control Panel? The gamepad works fine with other games. I am looking for specific help with this game, not general trouble ... |

| I am using a PSX gamepad with a USB converter from RadShack. Is there any way to get this to work? I edited the .ini file to enable joysticks, but this gamepad won't work. Any help? |

| I have the same problem with my PSX (with RadShack adapter) gamepad. the game just will not see my gamepad at all. I changed the .ini file. |
