sadly the answer for this year is dungeon seige 2.
It was not an interesting game to me but it was well made.
I didnt try fable though if that could have counted possibly that was the best rpg.

yes well the demo for ds 2 seems cool but its um, like a rts not like diablo... its like a scenario to warcraft 3 with heroes just box ur guys and right click towards the monsters.

um wizardry 8 was the best one made like that
might and magic 9 was the last one made. i thought it was really bad but someone made a lot of mods to it I never tried out.
