The greater healing rune is the last rune you'll get.
You'll get the last attack rune in early chapter 6. You can't really avoid getting it if you're a paladin in chap 6.

If you were a paladin then you could get a magic blade from the smith in the harbor city, and then consecrate the sword (twice) at the monastery.
If you were a merc then you'd get the most powerful s ... |

Which one of these quests is it:
"The Weed Package" (regular quest) or "Package Full of Weed" (militia/paladin quest) ?
As for the weapons making skill you can talk to bennet in the merc camp, or ... |

there's a decent array of spells for the magic users. Though it would depend on how many you think is decent (or large for that matter).
no multiplayer though. |

If I recall correctly then you can't change once you've made your choice =)
Btw they forgot to translate all the monsters in gothic 2. Don't know if people noticed this but there are 3 stone golems ... |
