Again thanks for the tip, but I disabled the FSAA and still no luck, it responds the same way.

Anything else to try?

Thanks for the tip. I closed all other programs running and let the game load for over 10 minutes, finally a window that said Gothic v1.8 popped up, but the screen was blank and nothing ever happened ...
