Ok, here is the deal, I have tried:
disabling fog tables
disabling aniscopic filtering
disabling FSAA
even disabling HO Primatives
but no change, however I have realized that if I play in 800x600 ...

Ok first off,
AMD Athlon 1800+
256 ddr 400
geforce 4 ti4200 8x agp

now, my problem is probably simple, but for the life of me, I can not figure out how to fix it. All the smoke in all the land ...
