With the increase in traffic, it seems that NWN deserves a forum section similar to Gothic or Morrowind. Just a thought!

This is exactly why I no longer rush to go out and buy a game the moment it is released. I'll wait a few weeks and a few patches... and keep an eye on the boards!

In EQ they are player controllable and purchased (for outrageous prices) from vendors. Extremely high level paladins and shadowknights can also summon a "holy steed" (or unholy for a shadowknight). Th ...

I had a blast with the Quest for Glory series! I really enjoyed the settings and over all feel of those games. Kings Quest (all of them) to me was simply an exercise in frustration. Pretty graphics, b ...

Hmmm, well EQ has them now (though not a perfect implementation by any means), DAoC has them (horse railroad hehe), and many of the next gen MMORPGS will have them (mounts of some kind, not necessaril ...

Yes, and also in many of the Ultima games.

I agree, no horses in dungeons of course (common sense there, but mules as in DS make sense), but most games nowadays also have huge outdoor areas to explore. In many cases the outdoor/wilderness area ...

Not sure if this is the right board for it, but this is a "general" CRPG topic. Horses and other mounts are a staple of the fantasy genre in books and traditional tapletop RPGs. Very few CRPGs have in ...

I still have hopes for NWN, but I also agree with much of Llama's post. Many of the games just seem stale to me now. Dungeon Seige, HoMMIV( 3 was far superior imho), BG2, etc were all somewhat dissapo ...

I'll be weighing in with Thorvar Bjornson (Viking archetype). He has been a mercenary warrior in a PBEM game, a barbarian in D2, a Norse Thane (my truest vision for him yet) in DAoC Midgard of course, ...

My only complaint with LOD is the fact that most of my original items from D2 now suck wind
There was a time I worshipped Iceblink... sigh... now nerfed to hell.

Best of it's time: Might and Magic (the first one)

Best of All Time: Hard to say, but the first Baldur's Gate has to be up there. I realize BGII and Torment had deeper stories etc, but the first BG ...

Hard for me to say... Going back to the old "Gold Box" AD&D games I remember being bored to tears with the second or 3rd one after Pool of Radiance (same ol' same ol'). Also, I didn't care for Might a ...
