| try on www.gamefaqs.com that's where i found my walkthrough (main quests can be so difficult) and there was a list of places where you could find index stones. |

| They are teleport chambers and you need an index to activate them (one index for one chamber), try looking in a walkthrough if there is a list where you can find index stones. |
