Well I found out how to do it in widescreen right after posting the original question lol, so here is the answer. after setting the resolution in the .ini file you also MUST change this:

| I went into the .ini file and changed resolution to 1280x720 for playing on my 50" samsung DLP which has a max resolution of 1280x720 and when starting the game it defaults back to 800x600! I'm hoping ... |

| I just bought Gothic 2 today and saw it was already patched to 1.32. Now I hate putting CD's in my CD rom drive as I have maybe 20 different games I play. The only no cd crack I have found is for 1.3 ... |
