sorry for my even latter response, a clean reinstall worked, the game but ran poorly, I found later then I hd a trojen on my computer I couldnt remove it so I backed up my pc and fdisked the hard driv ...

I finally Got a copy of Gothic and I soon relaised I needed a new video card, so I went and purchased a power color radeon 9600 xt, I have a AMD Athlon 2000 (1.66ghz) with a KT4V MSi mainboard, 256 mb ...
