Why did you choose Near Eastern/Indian mythological influences?
Well I think it haves very rich content that hasnt been exploited enough.

Well my project is principally influenced by Persian, Hindu and a little Egyptian mythology.

Dont think that I have a design doc ready by now,I just got myself together to start the research yester ...

Im with you Chekote, The Planescape setting is one of the best Ive played.
it sure beats tolkien rip-offs.

Im not trashing the fantasy setting because I dont like it (I do ) but because it hasnt ...

Im not saying that RPGs have not been open-ended, Im saying that most of the modern ones havent(not all)

and Fallout did save the genre because of the funds it acquired for the development of Baldu ...

SETTING

Gamers are getting a very big sense of DEJA VU every time they play a fantasy RPG (or at least I am).

To save the RPG genre from redunadancy rpgs need not to evolve but to vary, it seems ...
