2) no, that happends only if you donate shrines.

you could join the thiefs guild as paladin/militia, dragonslayer/mercenary, mage/novice - it doesn't matter  , thats why i like it  . |

i thought, that at the end of Gothic 2 you would fight with the Uriziel (legendary magic ore blade from Gothic 1) and the migical ore armor again, wher did they go???  .
