Have you looked in the event viewer, you have XP...
Look for errors generated in the event viewer with the same time stamp that the error occurs. they might not say the game name just whats crashing. ... |

Chekote has a laptop, this CAN explain a few of his sound issues. (is it hardware sound or software based, this would explain alot.)
