I prefer a little more tricky way than simple fireball:
wall of fire and force field. Enemies are not smart enough to go outside of the fire. But true - fireball is the fastest way to kill.

I found, that casting bless spell doesn't improve "object knowledge" skill at all (indirectly, through attributes). All other skill are rised.
Is it as it should be ? |

I'm just at the beginning, but so far for me, magic system in this game is really awesome (and I normally prefer warrior-type characters).
No idea if wizards are stronger than warriors, tough. |
