The game, formerly known as "Project Ego" is described as this: Loosely put (very, very loosely), Fable is an RPG. But that’s as broad as saying an engine can be used as a mode of transport – it could mean anything. What type of transport for one; cars, bikes and planes to name a few but which one? Likewise, Fable goes far beyond just being an RPG and it goes far beyond borrowing elements of other genres. Fable is reinventing the RPG, evolving it into something with such depth that it scares us bad. It makes us want to go and play the pleasingly linear Final Fantasy series. We’re easily scared.
