This was probably the most mature of the Final Fantasy games. Great story and characters were it's high points. Battles got a bit tiresome, especially watching the summoned creatures do their thing...over and over again. |

As a Squaresoft game (ie. interactive movie), it's pretty good. Stronger characters and plot then most of the other games in the Final Fantasy series.
As a game though, it falls short, much like every other later game in the series. Could be played through by a monkey with an arcade stick and big buttons. |

FF8 provides another great entertainment factor for me. Although not anywhere near as good as 7, it's good to see a little more comic tint to such a great series of games. Beautiful graphics. Squaresoft does it again! This game heads home with 8/10 paws! -Tobbes |

What are you talking about?? Big eyed?! Cartoon?! Have you ever seen this game? It's not a manga and humans look realistic here. Anyway, it's a game from 1999, and game looks perfect and outstanding when considering this.

And game... :) Yes, it's the best RPG ever. I like BG, Diablo, Divine Divinity, Arcanum - I love these games - but I don't see any problem with playing both classical and Final Fantasy like games. |

Pure interactive excitement. It starts slowly, but it takes you through an epic journey as fast as an avalanche! What can i say about this game! It's a shame the next titles never came to the PC. Probably the best RPG I've ever played! |

My personal favourite final fantasy game, visually superb, great story and enjoyable characters. Found summoning gf's annoying after a while, but for that it would have been a 10. |
