On Anonymity In MMORPGs @ TenTonHammer

Thanks to John from TenTonHammer for letting us know that they have an editorial on anonymity in MMORPGs.
Let's call a spade a spade, in massively multiplayer online games it is the massively multiplayer part that makes them so enjoyable. Interacting with people you have never met can be exhilarating. A group of strangers comes together to cooperate and accomplish a task that none of you could have imagined completing alone. It is thrilling.

The next day at the office the cubicle apes around the water cooler gape in awe at your geekiness as you revel in telling the tale of six brave adventurers, three halflings, a dwarf and two humans, and their journey to complete the quest of the halfing toe-jam in a mere six hours.

Who were these five strangers who bonded with you and made you the talk of the cubicle circus at work? Leagoolaas, Anderhump, Biggjuggs, Slyrouge and Anakan were part of your life, albeit virtual, for six straight hours. You must know something about them, right?
