A preview of Square Enix' 'Final Fantasy XII' can be found at eToychest. Here's a snip:To me, Final Fantasy XII was the big game of E3, at least, in the candy-land-carnival that was my image of E3 – I expected grand booths, with beauteous ladies gyrating, costumed as Penelo, or Steven, or Bob, or whatever the women in the game are called. I expected a game that would once again take the series forward, and be great fun to play, involving strategy, patience, and thought for each battle that took place. I expected genre and system-defining graphical detail. To be fair, that I received in bucketloads as I sat down inside the strangely lit Square booth, grabbing hold of a wireless controller and cracking my knuckles, ready again to step into the Final Fantasy environs that I had been waiting for so long to traverse. From what I had heard, this was also a game set in the land of Ivalice, home of the wonderful Final Fantasy Tactics series – “RAPTURE!” I screamed aloud as I sat down in the booth. |
