Andrew Tepper, lead designer of A Tale in the Desert, sent out a mail yesterday concerning a few new updates for today. Two new tests will be introduced in the game today, the Test of Pyrotechnics and the Test of the Prismatic Opticon, both in the discipline of Art & Music. During the weekend they'll also add a new technology in both the discipline of Worship and the discipline of Thought.

Apart from that he also officially announced Amira as Egypt's first Demi-Pharaoh, as she received the most votes from the other desert dwellers in the game. Congratulations, Amira!

Last but not least there's this final bit:
Starting at Noon on Friday, July 4, everyone
that has ever had an account will be able to log in to watch the Egypt's
first Pyrotechnics contests. No charge, no strings attached, just a chance
to reunite with old friends, and see how far along this "perfect society"
has come. A small package of goodies will be available to everyone that
has ever had a paid account (current accounts too, of course!) - just
visit local School of Art & Music during the celebration.
