RPGVault have another chat with a Morrowind team mebber. This time they talk to Project Leader Todd Howard.
Jonric: Please summarize the basic attributes of player characters in Morrowind. To what extent if any will players be able to adjust attribute scores during character creation? What are the main derived attributes? Are any significant changes in the attribute system from Daggerfall?

Todd Howard: The eight basic attributes are Strength, Endurance, Intelligence, Speed, Willpower, Agility, Personality, and Luck. Each is rated from 1 to 100, with 50 being an average person. Each attribute determines how well you can do certain things, and also governs specific skills - like the Block skill, which is governed by Agility. The higher your agility, the better chance you have of dodging attacks, but you can also block better and raise your block skill higher.

You don't allocate points in character creation. Your attributes are set based on the choices you make for sex, race, class, and birthsign. The derived attributes are Health, Magicka, and Fatigue. These basically remain unchanged from Daggerfall.
