Looks like we missed this one originally but better late than never. ;) MMORPG.com has posted a review of eGenesis' "A Tale in the Desert". The score is 8/10 and here's an excerpt:
"In [other MMORPGs], you may go on thousands of quests, but what ties them all together is whacking on monsters," says Yelon. "In ATITD, what ties everything together is technology. The player manages resources, researches technology, builds himself up." I asked Yelon what game ATITD is most like in the current market, he compared the game to "Civilization" in the sense that you spend your time building yourself up. I asked him if he felt there were any similarities between ATITD and "The Sims Online." "The main difference is the level of challenge. Achieving your goals in the Sims is just a question of clicking and waiting. Achieving your goals in ATITD requires analysis and strategy."
