If it had come out prior to DII, then maybe it would have been more appealing. Not quite able to put my finger on where it falls short, but there is no appeal to replay it like in DII (notice the continued comparison?) And the balance issues, especially the frustration in bringing along a nature mage, definitely needed tuning. All in all, not a bad game, but with a low-level story line, I definitely have all I need in DII, which I can still pull out and have fun for a couple of hours. Gothic: 8/10 points This game was so well done in so many ways (interface glitches being my only complaint) that I wouldn't know where to start. The storyline is truly my favorite aspect, as well as the NPC interaction and daily schedule variety. Given a good story and well done character advancement, the interface is very secondary, I can get used to anything.
