GameSpyDaily has posted an interview with Brad MyQuaid on his recent departure from Verant:

GameSpy:Was the split amicable? What was your reason for deciding to leave Verant?

McQuaid: I wish nothing but the best for SOE/Verant. It's just time for me to move on -- the last five years were probably the most amazing and rewarding in my life -- I accomplished many of my dreams. But now it's time to pursue other dreams... I apologize for being so vague, it's just that there are really so many options at this point that I'm a bit overwhelmed and need to take things day by day.

But while my life will be changing, there are things that will never change: how proud I am of EverQuest, of being able to work on such an amazing product, the honor it was to work with the people who built the game, who worked tirelessly and poured their hearts and souls into making something truly magical. EverQuest is one of those rare phenomenons, a combination of faith and fortitude, of blood sweat and tears, of being in the right place at the right time... it's really a game where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

And I also want to say thank you to all the players out there -- without you, Norrath would be an empty, soulless world. And a special thanks to all of you who were there early on, in beta, or right after launch, who believed in us and hung with us through thick and thin.

Regardless of what I do next, my appreciation for all of the above is eternal.
