DreamFall Impressions @ HomeLANFed

Time to head on down the line to HomeLANFed and check out their 'impressions' of Funcom's upcoming Dreamfall...

While Funcom is keeping most of the story under wraps, this sequel does have The Longest Journey's April Ryan back once again but this time there will be two other playable characters in the game as well. Funcom is promising that the storyline will be crucial once again in the sequel. Dreamfall its using an all new full 3D engine but the game is still keeping the fixed camera third person perspective that most adventure games have. The result, however, is very impressive. One section of the demo takes place in an underground cavern and the bump mapping and character designs rival those of the best looking first person shooters (In fact, Funcom is promising that Dreamfall will actually have some action elements this time round but those features were not implemented in the E3 demo)
