The fourth Black Moon Chronicles Developer Diary went online on RPGVault just a couple of minutes ago. Programmer François Leblanc "offers you a unique, personal look at the history of his professional character development, from a complete newbie to an experienced game maker who has contributed to both The 4th Coming and now Winds of War", as RPGVault says. Here's a snip:

We had a good party to start with, but we really needed a graphic artist. We tried to hire one but none would do. We were passionate about our project and so wanted other members to work as hard as us. In a moment of pure enlightenment, Mathieu decided to switch class and become an artist. He had to start back level 1, but we made a lot of experience points at that time and so he leveled quickly. This did not really solve the whole problem though. He did not lose his game design abilities but he would not practice them as much anymore. We needed another game designer and so we hired two. There was Benoit, and then a bit later Pierre whom we liked to call Itchy.

Our project did not go unnoticed! Yes, the basement was far from the eyes of mortals but we had ways to communicate with the outside world. The gods who ruled over the ancient world of the Arena saw our attempt at creating a new world and decided to take us under their wing. After a few hard negotiations we finally came to a satisfying arrangement. We would continue building and supplying magic to the world; they would provide us with gold and the sacred knowledge of marketing, business and management. By then our grotto had become too small to hold the growing world and so we moved to the dark tower of Vircom.
