Game Industry has awarded Daemonica 4/5 'gems' and calling it "devilishly good fun" in their recent review of the game.
In the living world you sometimes have to fight, which is done with simple clicks. Combat is the weakest part of this mystery adventure, but thankfully does not occur often and with a little bit of thought, can mostly be avoided. The few fights that you have to make are very easy to get past. You mostly just have to block and then swing after your opponent does. And you have enough hit points (and healing potions if you have created them) that a few mistakes won’t spell your doom.

Daemonica is overall a creepy mystery and adventure game that is easy to play but difficult to solve. It will have you doing some very bad things, all in the name of good. This revival of old school adventure gaming earns 4 out of 5 GiN Gems for being delightful and spooky at the same time.
