RPGDot Game Rating Machine

zirakzigil has rated the following games:

Deus Ex: 9/10 points

This game offers a lot of freedom and multiple ways to accomplish your goals. The designers figured out that in order to create an immersive world they need to enhance the ability of the player to alter : alter his/her environemnt , storyline , ways to overcome problems. they did so very well in this title. the only problem with this game is a somewhat unbalanced later half of the game ( you can depend only on one method to accompish your gaols ) which substracts from an otherwise amazing first half of the game ( where you actually use your brains to accomplish tasks ) who gets close to a "10" mark on scale. If Ion Storm will release a balanced sequel with impovements on some technical issues ( a.i , graphics etc ) then they will sure have a classic on their hands.

Neverwinter Nights: 8/10 points

I have played through half the single player only , so my review here is for that part only. I sure hope it's not a general direction that RPG's are taking ( with dungeon siege coming also to mind ) - i mean the DIABLO-sation of the genre. gameplay is an upgrade to diablo - you have a meaningful storyline , you have better conversations, you have a companion... BUT the quests so far revolve around the same old idea of "get me the 2/3/5/7 items of X and i'll reward you / allow you to proceed with the plot" , during the quests you do a lot of fighting and can interact with few objects. nothing like a real huge world where you can manipulate evrything. so why 8? because it's fun , highly adictive , polished product that has many hours of gameplay - thing that is all too uncommon today with 10 hour shooters.

System Shock: 9/10 points

I don't know why kile called it a sequel but it's an excellent game on it's own. the game had one of the most amazing villians , and the plot is really good. sure makes me miss the old Origin days - they really did create worlds ( Origin was publisher , Looking Glass , which imployed several of Origin's programmers and designers , was the developer ). for more information check my comment on system shock 2 , or go to http://www.ttlg.com

System Shock 2: 9/10 points

This is one of the the few sequels that manage to capture the spirit and atmosphere of the original... Both system shock 1 and 2 manage to create a beautiful , imerssive game world with a certain "doom" atmosphere ,( for example - the character you just came to save , was killed two minutes before you came.. causing you to get frustrated - but in a good way - now you you also want to avange him/her ). this game is still not perfrect , and i am very reluctant to give any game a 10/10.. but if you have the money - go buy it now , you won't be sorry
