Next Level Gaming has put up a preview of SOE's action RPG 'EverQuest: Champions of Norrath' for Playstation 2.
Even though it's been pushed back a few months, that's not stopping Sony Online Entertainment from wanting to get the word out about their second (and a half) upcoming console game. And you just when you thought it was just going to be another Everquest game.......well you're right, it is. But this one is a lot different from the rest of their Everquest series. Champions of Norrath is an Action RPG like none other on the PlayStation 2. Create your own champion, each with unique powers, appearances and skills. Experience an epic adventure filled with powerful action and ominous intrigue. Battle vicious monsters where your mastery of weaponry and spells is the only thing between you and supreme evil. But wait, there's more! You see it's being published by Sony Online Entertainment.....online. Champions is the first ever console action RPG for the Playstation 2. And to get our second preview underway, SOE shot us over an early but very nice preview build so we could get a few movies underway for you, as well as get an idea of how the game is coming along. There's no online mode quite yet, but that has been promised to us in the next build. In the meantime, I got to take Champions on a single player quest for glory. So here's what we know so far for you.
