I couldn't agree more with Ekim's impressions of the game so far. The community has totally turned me off to the game. There is no role-play that I have found, but just mindless profanities and vulgarity that would make a sailor blush with shame. The level grind is almost unbearable after lvl 16 or so and the skills are dull and unimaginative compared to other similar games such as EQ or DAoC. Money (or lack thereof) is another issue. It is ridiculously difficult to get "ahead" or just to a point that you can buy decent weapons and armor, unless you slaughterd hundreds of thousands of monsters two levels below you just to get their gold. I don't know about the rest of the community, but even understanding that some redundancy is necessary, Lineage II takes the prize for monotony. Are there good things? Yes, the graphics engine is awesome. Anything else? Not that I have found yet that's not done much better by someone else. |

I, being something of a power gamer and PvPer, enjoy this game immensely. The only serious problems I have with it is the rampant botting that is all too obvious from character creation onwards.
While I see a lot of complaints about the community in the game - most of these complains come from people that have never looked past the official forums. Lionna is widely hailed as the "unofficial RP server" and has it's own community-centric website. There are also various Roleplay organizations that span multiple servers, and an amazing community of friendly and helpful gamers that reside on various websites and forums around the net. It's just a matter of keeping your eyes open and watching for them.
All in all, I'd rate the game an overall 8/10. The best graphics and sound I've seen yet on an MMoRPG, hands down. I enjoy the grind quite a bit. I've always found other MMoRPGs - from Ultima Online up through DAoC to be far too easy, except on the offered PvP servers.
The biggest detractors to the game that I can see is NCSoft's lack of communication with the player base and rampant bot usage. |

First mmorpg, shits all over guild wrs im happy. If you cant handle the grind your soft and should play CS and the bots are easily killed when your 20+ higher then them... my 2 cents.. i thought the review was shit also. |

The one thing not mentioned in the review that made me quit after less than a month was the horrible chat system. Further the lack of variety in loot and equipment (at least up to the low 20's where I quit) makes the grind very uninteresting. I've usually enjoyed grinding (in EQ, AO) but this one turned me off pretty quickly. |

Great graphics, good sound.
Do NOT read the official forums, or most other forums related to this game if you intend to play. The most vocal members overwhelm it and will make you sick.
The grind if fine if you find a good group of friends and level WITH them.
Bots and foreign farmers plague some areas, but are easily avoid or dealt with after you have leveled some. Don't worry about money early on, it becomes less and less of a problem the more you progress.
Rules to play by: 1) Friends are key in this game, even if you solo. 2) Always upgrade your weapon before your armor. 3) Do unto others... |

It's best game even I am seen after MUD! Long time I looking for some like Diablo (1,2) where you can be a hero or a bad boy :) Lineage2 give me a lot of fun, after you select you char (you can be magican or warrior, human, elf, dwarf, male, female etc.) you start train it by killing some mobs for that you will have some money (adenos - capital town in game Aden) anr expiriens, olso you will lion spell point that can use to learn new spels. Clan avaible, a lots of mobs, flying dragons, a lot of peoples! (onli online plaing) you can kill another player but if only you hit him you will be carma! and then all another wite player will hunt you :) very good atraction whith lot of andrenalin and fun :) after you clear you karma point yoi stai wite after next pkill :) sou if you like diablo or mud I recomend this game, I play it from NY and still can not stop, evry evning after work for few ours I connect to my world, world of Aden! Great game. Since Chronicle 4 has come out the game has alot more things for noobs who cant reach above 20. Imao. Role play is good. Nice community. I like it alot. |

THE GRAFIC OF THE GAME IS OK BUT THE REST SUCKS A SS:QUESTS(you can buy quests),PvP,THE ECONOMY(you have to have some friends to give you money ore to beg for it),AND OF COURSE THE STORYLINE(you just apear into the world!!!) |
