Here is a bit about the story: HomeLAN - How does the back story of Asheron's Call 2 relate to the original game? AC2 Dev Team - AC2 is set in the same game world as AC1--the lands of Dereth. Five hundred years have passed since AC1, during which time a terrible Cataclysm has ripped Dereth apart. In AC2, the players are among the first generation to creep out from their underground shelters and see what's become of their world. There'll be signs of old Dereth--ruins and lost traces of history, as well as a few characters familiar to the storyline.
