Over at RPG Planet, you'll find teir first impressions on Anachronox:

My immediate impression of Anachronox was to be reminded of the living, breathing, sci-fi metropolises of titles like Anarchy Online and Omikron: The Nomad Soul. All over Anachronox are people moving about, talking, and generally going about their daily routines. There's a real feeling of a living city of which you are only a part, which is part Omikron, part Blade Runner. As the first steps outside the city begin, you're assaulted fairly quickly and beaten up, with a caustic word of advice from Fatima that you ought to go brush up on fighting techniques. Again, the game disguises training modes as part of the game, and it works.
