Not much is known at this point but it will be furry for sure :) . There's also a quickie post at the official forums (with zero details) but it looks like IGN has managed to score exclusivity of the announcement for at least a day or so. The official post does reveal though that players who are accepted into the Combat Upgrade beta test (a free and long overdue patch to SWG) will automatically be selected for participation in the 'Rage of the Wookiees' beta as well. Finally, if you've seen trailers of Episode III, it may not be too hard to guess a) where this furry expansion is coming from and b) why it's (also) coincidentally slated for release in May 2005 ;) .
