With a solid background in the European Games- and Multimedia Business, REAKKTOR.COM was originally founded back in 1991 under the name ‘Century Interactive’ by Martin J. Schwiezer and Felix Unger. The first commercial game release was named ‘Subtrade’ (an Economical/Strategy Simulation) for the CommodoreTM AMIGATM. The game had great reviews and is still known by most AMIGATM veterans.
Since then Reakktor developed more than 20 games for PC and for the classic 8- and 16 bit computers, including the PC action adventure ‘Bermuda Syndrome’ (published worldwide by BMG interactive) and a cooperative-play 2D multiplayer shooter named ‘Cyberzerk’ (AMIGATM , published by boeder AG). In 1997 the name of the company was changed to Reakktor Media.
REAKKTOR.COM’s background also has its roots in the multimedia industry. In cooperation with Pixel Park AG, Berlin, Reakktor successfully designed and produced several multimedia titles as a creative web agency. The multimedia division of REAKKTOR.COM is named ‘kkobalt design elements’ and was founded in 1995.
In 1999 Reakktor started to work on a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game) named Neocron. The game was released in 2002 and published worldwide by CDV Software. |
