We have been working for years now to try and secure funding for the DOMINION project ($4,000,000); unfortunately this endeavor started at the end of 2001 when the market was taking a nose dive. To this day, the market has not yet recovered, and the issue we have run into is not that people have problems with the project or team - the problem is that we aren't meeting individuals who are financially capable of supporting their interest in the project.

The gaming industry is currently wallowing in a stagnant lake of redundancy, lack of innovation, and copycat products. Only a handful of companies are attempting to create something new that isn't based on existing products, and those few companies are generally privately owned and funded, and have both the flexibility and freedom to design their products "right".

Pharaoh has no interest in becoming just another development studio, answering to the unrealistic milestones of a Publisher, only to deliver a halfway decent product by Christmas. We're interested in building something real, innovative, and a product that reflects what the players want.

At this point, the only way that DOMINION will become a reality is if Pharaoh can secure seed capital from Angel sources; individuals who have a personal and professional interest in the industry. Our hope is that we can establish a relationship with such individuals through the existing Pharaoh/DEMISE community.
