Gone Gold has also reviewed Baldur's Gate 2 - Throne of Bhaal. It's no surprise that the game receives a high rating (91%), and no surprise either that they were disappointed with the manual:

The manual is inadequate. Only 20-30 pages long, it neither provides background material for the new area, nor does it explain the BG I or BG II storyline. It spends the majority of pages describing the new high-level abilities and the new spells TOB introduces. After the manual for BG II and Icewind Dale, I was hoping for more; not even a map greeted me when I opened the box. Baldur's Gate II had a first rate manual; too bad TOB couldn't manage the same feat. However, the interface improvements slightly mitigate the weak manual, bringing us an overall score of 85%.
