A supernatural score of 9/10 is the result of Gamehelper's 'Freedom Force vs The Third Reich' review.I’ve always wanted to be a superhero.
From my early days of youth, I wanted to be Superman, or at least someone identical in nature (I think Aquaman was in the mix somewhere in my timeline), sporting the ultra-cool outfit and flying around saving innocent pedestrians. I wanted the super-human strength and X-ray eyes. I wanted to wow the girlies with my rippling muscles and quick reflexes. When I grew up, my hair did indeed turn extremely dark (“I want my hair just like Superman, Grandma!” I used to say), but none of the accompanying super powers came. Nothing. Nada. Someone left me out of the distribution list when they were handing out superhero powers.
Luckily for games such as City of Heroes or Freedom Force, I can live that dream through virtual means on my mildly mannered PC. I know what you’re thinking though: there’s something genuinely wrong with me if I fancy wearing spandex. No, you’re wrong there. Everyone has something of a dream to fly, to be super strong, to be something extraordinary. Superhero movies, comics and games offer us a chance to express those inner needs. This you cannot deny. |
