Gamespy has another Game Diary posted called Lost in Vana'diel: Down & Out in Windurst. This is a good read and one where those of us who have played FFXI can relate to the author. Here is a snippet:
As anyone who's ever played an RPG probably knows, money's second only to experience points in the list of adventurer necessities. But whereas you start most games with zero experience, they also tend to give you a little pocket change to get started. I suppose this holds true for Final Fantasy XI as well, but the term "change" is all too appropriate here: The game starts you off with a lousy 10 gil! Granted, you also get a weapon and basic armor, but forget that. I never said we were trying to be reasonable here. |
