The Electric Playground has posted a review of Liquid's RTS 'Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring'. Rating: 7.5/10.
While it would seem a natural idea for a Lord Of The Rings RTS, it’s amazing that this game has never been created before. When you think about it, the Rings stories have had so many elements borrowed from them over the years, it’s almost as if this game had already been played in the bits and pieces found in countless other titles. I mean, haven’t we already been slaughtering Orcs and Goblins in RTS and RPG games for years? What’s funny is that when you play War Of The Ring it actually feels like it’s the other way around, as if this game was so derivative, it’s the one ripping off the countless role-playing and strategy games that came before it. Bitter irony.
