Epic Vanguard interviews Sigil's Andy Platter about their Vanguard E3 preparations:Staunch: The development team for Vanguard: Saga of Heroes might be some of the most identifiable in the genre. Not only are fans and avid online gamers looking forward to the showing at E3, but I imagine the online gaming industry itself is watching. How as a collective, is the devs preparing for the scrutiny this year?
Andy Platter: The easy answer is “A lot of hard work”, but there is much more involved. We ARE huge fans. We play all types of video games. We play them because it is fun and now we have the opportunity to create one… the one we want to play! It is very exciting. Often my friends and family will ask how I can put in the hours I do at work. I tell them it is like I am ten years old and I am building a tree house with my buddies during summer vacation. It is a lot of hard work, but it is a tree house! And the best damn tree house ever! When your job is fun the work is easy. It is still work, but we love it and we are all on the same team. We are very proud of what we have to show this year at E3. We have kept many things under wraps for so long and we will be showing some of these off this year. |
